Rare golden southern hairy-nosed wombats are pictured with their keepers at Cleland Wildlife Park in Adelaide, Australia. Golden wombats are generally unseen in the wild, as their lighter color makes them susceptible to prey. These cuties are named Icy and Polar. Theyre very young now, but its hoped that the pair will one day be suitable for breeding. What a beautiful species!

The Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus harrisii) is a carnivorous marsupial of the family Dasyuridae, now found in the wild only on the Australian island state of Tasmania. The size of a small dog, it became the largest carnivorous marsupial in the world following the extinction of the thylacine in 1936.
