I was looking at old photographs recently and realized that I’ve had quite a few looks in the last 50 years. Can you blame a bear for trying? When you’re friends with all the folks at CHOC, it makes perfect sense that I’d want to look my best. #thxCHOC
Did you ever think that a bear and a duck could be great friends? Well, it’s true! CHOC Children’s has been so fortunate to have a longstanding partnership with the Anaheim Ducks. And on March 23, we celebrated that partnership during CHOC Night at the Honda Center. #thxCHOC
Emergency Medicine: Then and Now - My first stop after falling out of that tree 50 years ago was the emergency department. So, it’s been especially fun watching how emergency medicine has changed since 1964 – and, boy, has it. Read more about The Julia and George Argyros Emergency Department at CHOC Children’s Hospital. #thxCHOC
Thank you CHOC Doctors! - Not a day has gone by in the last 50 years that I don’t think about all the wonderful doctors at CHOC Children’s who patched me up after falling from that tree. I still see one of the doctors I met during my 1964 hospital stay: Dr. Melville Singer, who is still on staff at CHOC. Learn more about 50 years of CHOC. #thxCHOC

A Bright Future: Pacer’s Story - There’s no shortage of cool patients in these parts, and I just met another who has CHOC to thank for a bright future. Meet Pacer in this video, and hear from his parents about why they traveled all the way from Montana to get Pacer the treatment he needed. #thxCHOC
Gala Honors Ryan Seacrest Foundation - Themed “50 Years of Caring,” the gala raised about $1.3 million to support CHOC Children’s. The Children’s Champion Award was among the event’s many highlights, (seen here with Seacrest's sister and parents holding the Children’s Champion Award) including an auction and a performance from songstress Sheryl Crow. #thxCHOC

Happy Valentine’s Day! - Valentine’s Day is nearing, and I love this time of year. Can you tell by the heart I wear every day? I love taking pictures with my friends, and I wanted to show you some that I’ve collected through the years. #thxCHOC
Oncology: Then and Now - Much has changed in oncology the last 50 years. In the 1960s, childhood cancer survival rates were less than 20 percent. Today, survival rates near 80 percent. The Hyundai Cancer Institute at CHOC Children’s provides personalized pediatric cancer treatment by nationally recognized specialists. #thxCHOC
Thank you, blood donors! - Did you know that one pint of blood can save two lives? And your donation at CHOC goes directly to a child. Check out this fun video to learn more about the numbers that drive Blood and Donor Services at CHOC. #thxCHOC
A Bright Future: Josh’s Story - So many people have CHOC to thank for making their future bright, and I just ran into another one in the hospital’s halls! Let’s learn about Josh, whose time at CHOC as a kid inspired him to go to medical school and become a doctor for young patients. #thxCHOC
