Gypsy Barn - Before and Afters The Little Chippy Chirpy Mahogany Dresser I fell in love with the mahogany poking through. So instead of painting, I "chipped it more" to create a show through of the natural wood as use of the textural "bark" feel on the old tree. Inspiration - Birch Bark and a set of dishes handed down to me. Love it!
Use regular curtains and take rod to the ceiling.
Brackets from hobby lobby and a piece of wood. DIY simple elegant shelves.
just grab a yard of your favorite fabric and a few different size canvas and staple!
four 1X6 boards, a sanding block, and a can of stain. Hang with "large" 3M strips (up to 16lbs and these are just over 5lbs each).
Shelf Details - old bookshelf or dresser (better if it's missing drawers because then it's cheaper!) and recycle/upcycle it! Sand it down, clean it up and paint the whole thing your favorite color or an accent color that suits the room it'll live in. Before you put the shelves in put fabric on the back "wall"! OR...You could use wallpaper, or stencil your own design! FUN stuff!!
Great Laundry idea. Could also do different categories: kids clothes, work clothes, undergarments, sports wear, towels, etc. Also, considering hang a piece of fabric over the laundry bin holders so it looks nicer. Choose a nice fabric, use small nails or velcro to get it to stay up. Another user said use 4 tier plastic shelving, a shelf for each laundry basket.
Imma build one of these one day.
Wallpaper on file cabinet - brilliant!
Beautiful mosaic bathroom tile.
Styrofoam and scrapbook paper. I love cheap, easy, and stylish.
i like the reverse-stenciled dresser idea
