Favorite Books, Movies, TV

I am an avid book reader, I love movies and have some very favorite TV shows. I'll share mine with you if you will share yours with me!

Bridesmaids. Fucking hilarious. Melissa McCarthy and Wendi McLendon-Covey carry the entire movie, and I love it.

"An Officer and a Gentleman" (1982). A young man must complete his work at a Navy Flight school to become an aviator, with the help of a tough gunnery sergeant and his new girlfriend. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Debra Winger and Richard Gere "made" it.

Philadelphia (1993) When a man with AIDS is fired by a conservative law firm because of his condition, he hires a homophobic small time lawyer as the only willing advocate for a wrongful dismissal suit.

The Help (2011) In this case I actually liked the movie more than the book, which is rare. The book drove me crazy because of the authors use of Webonics (white person ebonics). She was not at all consistent. She should have studied the language more or left it out all together.

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) - Loving but irresponsible dad Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams), estranged from his exasperated spouse (Sally Field), is crushed by a court order allowing only weekly visits with his kids. When Daniel learns his ex needs a housekeeper, he gets the job -- disguised as an English nanny. Soon he becomes not only his children's best pal but the kind of parent he should have been from the start. Not surprisingly, the film won an Oscar for Best Makeup.

I was thinking about cleaning and doing laundry and dishes....... Then I found this book to read instead.

Many episodes of Revenge remind me of Hamlet. Like the girl in Revenge, Hamlet also wants revenge on the people who hurt him. Hamlet mainly wants to get Revenge on Claudius because he poisoned and killed his father.
