Who is it, exactly, you have needed all these years to forgive?
In our culture, we have been taught to worry about what others think of us. To an extent, this is very important as we should always be empathetic of others feelings. However, it does not mean that we should abandon everything we stand for. We must accept ourselves first, and then we don't need others to be pleased with us so much.
This is so true! Many people can learn from this. Want your kids to be respectful? Treat them with respect, but more importantly, as parents, treat EACH OTHER and others with respect. Demanding parents produce demanding kids. Dramatic parents product dramatic kids. Want your kids to be different and maybe have a better life than yours? Then break the cycle. It starts with the parents.
