Cute idea! Add blends to the BLENDer as they come up during your reading work.
Neat version of a Word Wall - Word boxes: If a student doesn't know how to spell a word, they check the card in the box. If it's not there, they bring the card to me, we spell it together, and then the card goes back in its spot when they're done. Promotes independent writers!
Story Map. Really good idea when doing a book study. Have one for each of the books and hang a picture of the book with the display. Easy way to review stories before reading the next one. Also great for parents to see how the book study is progressing.
Consonant blends chart: This would be an excellent resource to have on display in the classroom. Before hanging this chart/poster up in the classroom, you could use this as a learning tool for a phonics mini-lesson. The students could then look back at this chart for reference when trying to remember and recognize blends.
