Four-year-old Nadine Earles wanted a doll house for Christmas, but she died on Dec. 18, 1933. Her grieving parents had a doll house built around the grave with her toys and other personal belongings placed inside: dolls, stuffed animals, a tea set, her high chair and tricycle. Mom Alma was buried on the front lawn when she passed in 1981. Oakwood Cemetery, Lanett, Alabama.
