Sold For $ 8,000 Pennsylvania Compass Artist painted dome lid box, ca. 1800-1840, decorated with typical red and white geometric stylized flowers on a blue background, 10 1/4'' h., 11 3/4'' w., 9 1/2'' d. DECORATED PINE BLANKET CHEST 19th c. pine six-board blanket chest with 20th c. decoration, rectangular top with breadboard edges, above case with interior till, raised on modified bracket feet with abbreviated swag apron, in red paint with yellow trim, the front with a spread-winged eagle clutching crossed red and blue flags on a white background, leather side handles, from a Nantucket estate, 22" h, 41 1/2" w, 17" d.

DECORATED CHIPPENDALE BLANKET CHEST. Pennsylvania or Virginia, dated 1791, pine and poplar. Dovetailed case, three drawers, and bracket feet. Original paint consists of three painted tombstone panels with vases of flowers with "ML KB" and "1791". 27"h. 50"w. 22"d.
