As the world's largest pressurized cryogenic wind tunnel, the National Transonic Facility has unique capabilities to test model aircraft in actual flight conditions. Aircraft and spacecraft designs are evaluated here for a variety of reasons, including stability and control, cruise performance, stall buffet onset, and configuration aerodynamic efficiency.
