How to grow and prune wisteria. Pruning is done *twice* a year, in late winter (February) and mid-summer (July to August)

Cinnamon in the Sandbox - It keeps the bugs away! I knew cinnamon repelled ants... but I never thought of this! Brilliant!

Wonder if this works?? Baking soda neutralizes the ph in the soil and nothing will grow there. use baking soda around all of the edges of flower beds to keep the grass and weeds from growing into beds. Just sprinkle it onto the soil so that it covers it lightly. Do this twice a year - spring and fall.

DIY flower stones for garden path (these are easy to put together using standard path stones)

"Spray your weeds with diluted vinegar...not only will it kill them, but the plants and soil love it. Read how here, and see the before and after pictures. I just learned about this in my winter gardening class the other day and the teacher has done it for years."

Exactly what I've been looking for. Can stand up to full sun, hot and humid conditions and the colors are perfect. Fountain grass for the center, trailing verbena and potato vine. Purple lantana would work too.
