QUICHE : You only need ONE RECIPE for Quiche, you can make ANY quiche with these ratios. 2 cups (500ml) milk, 4 eggs, 1 cup (4 oz / 125g) grated cheese, 1 pie shell. Add anything you want to the filling mixture, but generally no more than 3 additional ingredients. Use 8 or 9" (20 or 23 cm) pan. Bake at 350 to 375 F (175 to 190 C), no higher; the custard needs time to set during baking. Done when a knife inserted comes out clean. Let rest 10 minutes before serving. www.cooksinfo.com...
Bacon & Cheese Quiche... just use a pre-made roll-out pie crust, then I whisk together about 5-7 eggs and 1-2 cups milk, and pour it into the pie crust. I add about 1-2 cups shredded cheese (my fav is a mexican blend), about 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, and 3-5 slices of crumbled bacon. Pop it into the oven at 350 degrees for 40-60 min, until a fork poked into the center comes out clean.
Quiche Pans are for making quiches or tarts (as in large pies) in. Unlike pie pans, Quiche Pans have straight edges as opposed to sloping ones. The straight side allows more crust and filling, and gives a professional look. The edges of the sides are often fluted, to make a fluted-edge crust.
