Love this for the summer: Mom puts together lists under five different categories - Oh the Food we will Eat, Oh the Service that can be Done, Oh the Places we will Go, Oh the Crafts we will Make, and Oh the Activities we will Do; every Sunday, as a family, they plan out the week w/activities from the lists. I think I would add "Oh the Books We Will Read!"

A summer bucket list- Grab a bucket bowl or box and a bunch of clothespins....decorate them up and write all the things you'd love to do during the summer and then throw them in the bowl when you finish them. (what about making one for when the little people say "I'm bored"....then I could just say, "go pick a boredom clothespin" :)
