How & where it all started - the small outbuilding called Cotswold Camping in South Cerney. Featuring the founders Tony Ingham and Charlie Barwell
Sheperd's Bush [closed 2004] - at the time of writing this article the store had been on site some fifteen years. "[Staff] are walkers, cyclists, mountaineers, and canoeists who above all are courteous, welcoming, and well informed"
Manchester Oxford Road [opened 1989] - "Very firmly established as the most professional outdoor store in the North West"
St. Albans [opened 1995] - "Our latest superstore.. Clubs and groups are always welcome and special group evenings can be provided by prior arrangement"
South Cerney [opened 1974] - "The 'Original shop in the Country'.. having the most interesting and most carefully selected outdoor range in the West of England". The 150 seat in-house lecture theatre was well used.
Southampton [opened 1994] - the "'Superstore' near the South Coast"
Reading [opened 1998] - "Everybody's favourite shop in the Thames Valley.. bubbles over with friendly enthusiasm and helpful advice"
Betws-y-Coed [opened 1993] - "Additionally the Betws shop has weather information via a cell phone link to the summit of Snowdon giving details.. minute by minute from the top of Wales' highest mountain"
