cheap flip flop redo with fabric They turned out cute and pretty easy to do...not sure how long they'll hold up, but they were less than $2 for Dollar Tree (but a size bigger than usual) flip flops and the fabric. I'd do it again SME

Salted Pretzel Caramel Brownies-1 box Betty Crocker fudge brownies (for a 9×13 pan) 2 eggs 1/4 cup water 2/3 cup vegetable oil 3 cups pretzels 1 jar caramel sauce coarse sea salt caramel totally disappeared and made the top really hard and the bottom undercooked, but they're brownies. You can't go too wrong. SME

Lemon Bar Muddy Buddies - tastes just like a real lemon bar! Well, Cheryl did it. I ate it. Yummy and lemony! SME

We cut out paper the size of frames, put a nail hole where the hanger was, taped it to the wall, adjusted papers til we liked the spacing, nailed thru the hole and voila! Worked ok. Still lots of measuring and leveling. Would've been MUCH better to use posterboard or something that was flatter and easier to square. It was nice to know exactly where to put the nail once you got the spacing figured out though. Don't flip your paper after you make the hole(Hangers aren't exactly in the middle) SME

Better than salt dough? 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1 cup baking soda, 3/4 cup water. Bake at 175 for about an hour. white Christmas ornaments FAIL-Once upon a time, the people at discovery place made ooblec out of cornstarch, water and food coloring for us to experiment...if you touched it gently, your finger went right thru the liquid...if you poked it, it was solid...I thought perhaps the baking soda would make this work. Nope. But W did have a good time playing with it for over an hour. But I still don't have handprint ornaments :-(

Merry Christmas tie shirt!!!

Merry Christmas tie shirt!!!

Turkey shirt!

Skinny monkey cookies...I swapped peanut butter for an egg and some honey...they were edible, but the recipe's gonna need some more tweaking before I do it again :-)

Dollar tree plate+sharpies+oven= fail. Oven turned the teal the exact same blue color then it all washed right off...perhaps it would work for dry erase board better :-). Oh well, $2 of fun was had

Every kid has a little mad scientist hiding inside of them, and nothing is more fun than spending a little time dreaming up mixtures that bubble and steam and overflow! Here are 10 crazy concoctions you can whip up at home to satisfy their need to explore and create. Worked okay :-) I'd do it again

Sugar snap peas from the garden! A little bit of olive oil and garlic salt then 6 minutes at 450. Yum! I'd eat it again :-) The recipe I "copied" said olive oil with fresh Thyme and shallots- turns out I'm not such a fan of Thyme, but I do love garlic :-)

Oven Baked Crispy Parmesan Zucchini Fries - pretty good...the insides were still a little mushy, but much better than my "chips"

Squash chips 375 degrees for about 30 min and enjoy the best snack ever - This was a bust...some were mushy, some were burned, some were mushy and burned...bummer. If anyone figures out the trick, let me know! I tried really thin to really thick and lots of time variations.
