Big Bopper (Jiles Perry "J. P." Richardson, Jr.) (October 24, 1930 – February 3, 1959) - Buddy Holly (Charles Hardin Holley) (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959) - Ritchie Valens (May 13, 1941 – February 3, 1959).

On February 4, 1983, less than a month before her 33rd birthday, Karen Carpenter suffered heart failure at her parents' home in Downey, California. She was taken to Downey Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead twenty minutes later. The Los Angeles coroner gave the cause of death as "heartbeat irregularities brought on by chemical imbalances associated with anorexia nervosa."

On March 5, 1982, John Belushi was found dead in his room, by Bill Wallace at Bungalow number 3 of the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California. The cause of death was a speedball; the combined injection of cocaine and heroin.

Bettie Page, the "Queen of Pinups", suffered a nervous breakdown at age 56 and was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. She was found Not Guilty by reason of Insanity after an assault on her landlord and was institutionalized for 8 years in a state mental hospital.
