Teaching and Tapas: 2nd Grade in Spain
Great way for students to check their understanding of a strategy/skill/topic at the end of a lesson. Students take 1-3 minutes to answer a question created by the teacher and hand it in as a "ticket out the door." Also known as an "exit slip," the student question can be summative or formative and teachers use responses as an informal assessment to drive instruction!
End of the day Exit Slip.
Ticket out the Door! (Post-Lesson Assessment)
Here's a set of critical thinking exit slips. The page contains four separate exit slips with different question prompts. Each slip has two questions that ask students to summarize, judge, decide, comment, or expand on skills and knowledge that the lesson covered. Two of the slips can be used for any subject. One slip is specific to novel study. One slip is a blank template so that you can add your own question prompts.
