As for the story, it was good. I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of twists that kept me on my toes as well as lots of horrifying revelations. It was like thing after thing happened or was revealed and just when I thought there could not possibly be anything else to throw me a loop, there was - and I loved it.
This book was just stellar all around. I do want to caution readers with weak stomachs: in my opinion, things do not get too graphic in here, but there are some pretty creative descriptions of dead bodies and brain-eating. Still, give it a chance despite your stomach if you can. I just cannot say enough good things about My Life as a White Trash Zombie! I highly recommend it to zombie lovers and I suggest that it is age appropriate for those sixteen and older. almybnenr.tumblr.....
Jessica Spotswood’s debut is very good. I love how it is a late nineteenth century witch hunt mingled with Victorian fashion and technology. I loved Cate and Tess. Maura got on my nerves, but that could be because I am an only child. I do understand how she acted out of loneliness; it was just in the wrong ways.
Wow. There are no words. Well, there are, but they're not coming yet. This book just blew my mind and I loved it. No, it was not published in 2012, but I never said my Best Books of 2012 were (though they all have up until this one). They can include books I have read this year, no matter the publication date, that I deem worthy of my personal Best Books list. :)
