NASA ECHO II S-131 // From Wikipedia: "Project Echo was the first passive communications satellite experiment. Each of the two American spacecraft, launched in 1960 and 1964, was a metalized balloon satellite acting as a passive reflector of microwave signals. Communication signals were bounced off of them from one point on Earth to another."

In this Envisat image, acquired on 2 December 2011, a phytoplankton bloom swirls a figure-of-8 in the South Atlantic Ocean about 600 km east of the Falkland Islands. Different types and quantities of phytoplankton exhibit different colours, such as the blues and greens in this image.

Currently on show in Paris (at Le 104) By Leandro Erlich, a giant mirror reflects a full scale house model, which gallery visitors can climb on. Via Lonely Planet magazine.
