Things to DIY
I love making bags out of old T-shirts! I've usually sewn the bottom shut in the past, but this site has a great idea that doesn't even require sewing! I love it! One thing that always makes me laugh about these bags is the reactions I get...more often than not they hand it back and tell me I acidentally packed a t shirt in with my other reusable bags! When I show them that's it's actually a bag, they either think it's the grreatest thing, or they look at me like I'm a weirdo.
I like the idea of making a keepsake box full of mementos and pictures from a trip, rather than trying to scrapbook everything. Plus this box looks way nicer than a plain photo box.
Sew Old Pillowcases Together To Make Floor Cushions FLOOR CUSHIONS: Round up 5 old PILLOWCASES that you don't use anymore, because we all know it's much better to repurpose than buy new! Sew them together at the seams, leaving the openings clear so you can later insert pillows. Once they're all sewn together, insert pillows! You can either leave the sides open or better yet — add snap buttons so the pillows stay put, but are easy to remove when you need to wash the pillowcases.
