April Activities For Kids
2014 DIY no sew cape - using a t-shirt (old or new), cut along the sides and just inside the sleeves. Cut around the collar, leaving it intact. (Cut the front of the collar off, and cut arm holes for smaller kids = no choke) Trace your supper hero logo and cut out of felt. Use fabric glue to avoid sewing.
FUN Science project- Crystal Egg Geodes
Geography: The Unit Lesson mainly focuses on the United States and the North American continent, but the students will make Paper Plate Continents to see other continents in relation to the North American Continent and become more familiar with the position of all continents on Earth. This activity also promotes mapping skills such as using legends and directions (North, South, East, and West).

The Dissolving Peeps Experiment - what does it take to dissolve a marshmallow Peep? Easter activity for science!
Kool-Aid dyed Easter eggs! Who knew you could do this? Add 2/3 cup water to a packet of Kool-Aid; no need for vinegar b/c the Kool-Aid has citric acid in the mix! Add a little cherry to pink lemonade for a nice pink, add a little orange to lemonade for a light orange & add a little berry blue to grap for a dark indigo/purple color.
easter eggs: 2/3 cup water, no vinegar + 1 pkg koolaid
Option One: You were a crew member on board this ship when it struck land. Tell the story of when it happened. What did it feel like, why did it happen, what did people do, and how did you feel? Option Two: "It appeared from the mist. No one knew where it came from or what to do with it. All anyone knew was that it felt........." Finish the story.
