Real Life Reading a Recipe + Measuring Cup Math - In the first activity, students will read a yummy cereal bar recipe and answer comprehension questions. The recipe is real, and your students will love helping you bake them...or at least enjoy them as a special treat!!! The second activity encourages hands-on interactions with measuring cups and spoons using manipulatives, such as dried beans.

Math toss (math pong)! For this project, I would be teaching adding monomials and binomials. Throw each soft golf ball into a solo cup, and then you add them up. Make it a contest with teams (need different color balls). User color dots to teach probability. English: tape words and have students use the words in sentences...most creative wins! Supplies: foam board, 36 regular solo cups, hot glue and glue, pencil, eraser, ruler, tape, and paper. How could you use this in your discipline?

Middle School Math Centers....love the organization with laminated folders and directions.
