Faried went on to make the NBA All-Rookie First Team and finished third in 2011-12 Rookie of the Year voting.

Veteran forward Al Harrington provided scoring, leadership and toughness for the Nuggets all season. As one of the NBA's top sixth men, he scored at least 10 points in a team-best 53 games and played the final six weeks of the regular season and playoffs with a torn meniscus in his right knee.

After being fouled on a three-pointer with 0.6 seconds remaining, Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo drained three consecutive free throws to force overtime against the Sacramento Kings on March 5. Afflalo finished with a career-high 32 points in Denver's 119-116 victory.

Nuggets rookie forward Kenneth Faried scored his first two NBA point in emphatic fashion, slamming home an alley oop from Rudy Fernandez against the Sacramento Kings on Jan. 4. Faried eventually earned a spot in the Denver starting lineup and went on to average 10.2 points and 7.7 rebounds in 46 games.
