There are various versions of this statue in many cemeteries. It turns out that the original angel is inside the Oneto family's tomb in a cemetery in Genoa, Italy. It's known as Angelo di (Giulio) Monteverde or, Angelo della Resurrezione (Angel of the Resurrection). The sculptor, Giulio Monteverde, has an official copy of it in his own tomb.

Jacques-Louis David, 'The Death of Marat' (1793). Marat was editor-in-chief of the French revolutionary newspaper L’Ami du people. He suffered from a rare skin disease, and spent long hours in the bath. A young royalist journalist named Charlotte Corday wrote to Marat requesting an interview, before brutally murdering him in the tub. David paints Marat still clutching his assassin’s letter. 31 May 2012
