Paleo Mashed Rutabaga with Sauteed Onions 2 Rutabaga Large onion, sliced in 1/4 inch slices 2-3 Tbsp EVOO Salt and Pepper to taste. Apple cider or chicken stock Place rutabaga in a large pot of boiling water and cook until tender. place olive oil in skillet and saute onions until golden brown. When rutabaga are done mash with fork, potato masher or mixer. Work until fluffy. add a little apple cider or chicken stock here to moisten. Add onions and olive oil to mixture. Mix together.

This is our favorite way to eat broccoli of all time! My husband says he would rather eat this than fries. I put a few Tbsp of olive oil in a ziploc with some salt and pepper and the broccoli and shake. Then spread on a cookie sheet and spread minced garlic over it and roast at 425 deg F for 20-25 minutes.
