Our Junior Rangers at Jerome State Park

We discovered the Junior Ranger program when we camped at the Catalina State Park in Arizona over Spring Break. Children 12 and under can go to any state park and get a packet from the ranger station, filli it out (it teaches about that particular SP) then turn it in. They then take a pledge and receive a poster and a pin that makes them a junior ranger. We bought the vest for R on her birthday. S put her pins on her hat. They have earned 6 pins to date. We found a few more State parks close to us that we plan to go on day trips!!! Fun and educational. A great way to learn about Arizona History.
