Thoughts on Books
My favorite of all time. Will reread countless times.
Ernest Hemingway: His weapon of choice was a pen, his R of choice women, hunting and fishing (not necessarily in that order). The fatalism he brought to tales of combat, bullfighting, and the pursuit of big game, as well as his lean prose style, pointed American novelists in new directions. Too macho to abide his burly body's aging, Hemingway ended his own life with a shotgun.
Hemingway and Stephen King, masters of their craft. Less is more, more or less.
A startling tale of racial discrimination in the American south.
A fun trip to an indie bookstore.
