Chiyogami - a type of brightly colored, wood block printed Japanese paper used in origami and other crafts. Ukiyo-e artists first produced Chiyogami in the late 18th century. The word is a combination of "chiyo" meaning "a thousand generations" and "kami" or "gami" meaning "paper." Has auspicious connotations similar to those evoked by the pine, bamboo, and cherry blossom motifs with which it is often printed. A more affordable option for the origamist than the expensive washi paper. paper cranes, pattern, washi paper, art, chiyogami washi, papers, japanes paper, design, japanes yuzen
