Disposable Lunch Boxes

What? Throw it away?? Hey, you know my EasyLunchboxes are REUSABLE and that's best for the environment, but what about those times when you HAVE to pack a disposable lunch for a field trip or whatever? Start saving those odd-ball plastic containers! Here are some creative, eco-friendly ideas, recycling what would have gone in the trash anyway :)

Field Trip (disposable) Lunch Made Easy: Recycling Strawberry Containers

Keeley McGuire: Lunch Made Easy: Recycling Strawberry Containers

We came up with a few recyclable containers, and I did have brown paper bags (which I bought for a scrapbooking project, not lunches)

For her drink, I washed out and refilled a water bottle that was with our recycling and put a new label on it - I re-labeled the tomato basket too - just to make it a little bit cute :)  I also instructed Bella to look around to see if there was a recycling bin before tossing anything in a trash bin.

BentOnBetterLunches: Disposable Field Trip Bento

Bella has a field trip today and needed a throw-away lunch. We did have brown paper bags, but no plastic baggies, so I packed everything in a plastic basket the grape tomatoes came in, lined with a coffee filter.

Field Trip Day!! Which means, disposable lunch day :( A Dolphin ham/cheese sandwich, red/yellow grape tomatoes, strawberry applesauce, 2 s'mores and some dried cranberries and walnuts.
