“After you scoop out and carve your pumpkin, dip it in a large container of bleach and water (use a 1 tsp:1 gal mix). The bleach will kill bacteria and help your pumpkin stay fresh longer. Once completely dry, (drain upside down), add 2 tablespoon of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to a quart of water. Brush this solution onto your pumpkin to keep it looking fresh for weeks.”

For each skeleton, carefully thread the stick end of the marshmallow head through the small hole of a pretzel, slowly twisting the pretzel from side to side as you push it up toward the head, stopping about 1⁄2 in. below the head. Secure the pretzel in position with a dab of frosting. Add 2 more pretzels, lining them up, to resemble the rib cage, securing with dabs of frosting. Stick the skeleton into the top of a cupcake. To make the arms, carefully cut a pretzel in half with a serrated knife

Square glass votive — from Hobby Lobby or Michael’s — filled with string lights (battery operated *or* drill a 1/2” hole in the bottom and run an electric set of lights through the hole) - vinyl cut-outs for the face — and wrapped in orange tulle and topped off with a black bow and black pipe cleaners, corkscrewed. CUTE! :) Maybe use the same idea but make them into "ornaments" or santa or elves....

- Eyes in the Bushes- use glow sticks and hide the eyes in the bushes for Halloween.

Need to remember this! Make that Carving Last - Spray a mixture of bleach and water on the inside of your fresh pumpkin daily or coat the inside w/ petroleum jelly to keep mold and dehydration at bay.
