I left each 'pillow compartment' end open so the pillows can be removed and we can wash the cover. Kids love it on the family room floor!

I saw this idea a month ago on The Snail’s Trail blog It uses paint chips, those free paint color samples you get from Home Depot/Lowes. To make your own free paint chip phonics game, grab paint chips with 3 colors with a square cut out on the right side. Next grab a bunch with the long sample of colors.

Drive In Movie - how cute. I'll hang on to this idea - I'm sure I can use it somehow...can't make a class set but maybe along with a "go for a walk" break there could be "go for a drive" break in a quiet(er) corner of the room with earphones, music or small video player etc - think about and explore...
