DIY: Giant Ice Cube Awesomeness - filled with plastic animals, dinos, and such.
Cool the kids off with a homemade sprinkler. Take a 2 liter soda bottle, poke holes in it. Attach to a garden hose via a male to male adapter that cost less than $5 at Lowes. Toss over a tree branch and let hang.
No helium needed to fill balloons for parties.....just vinegar and baking soda! i need to remember this!
V - craft sticks and velcro --- I think this is a neat idea, however the previous pinner went on to comment how good they would be for making shapes and letters. That's true, but wouldn't it be SO much better for the ♥child♥ to discover what these cool materials are capable of, rather than our showing them and possibly stifling their intrinsic motivation?
My kids are too old for this now but, if I ever teach preschool again...
I'm intrigued >>Who knew...this is what happens when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! [Then you can tear it up and mold into (colored) shapes]- this could potentially occupy kids for hours!!! Way cool!
