jizo statues alongside the Daiya River are considered the guardian deities of children and travelers - Japan
True story. In the 1800s a woman & her small son were riding a train. She was leaving her husband. She was on her way to her sisters house. The train made a stop in a small town in Iowa(?). The woman & her son got off, but never got back on. They never made it to their destination. And were never seen again. What happened to them? I've always wanted to write a story about this..... sls
