Clothes keep slipping off plastic hangers? Use a hot glue gun to apply a zig zag pattern on the arms of your plastic hangers to prevent all your wide-necked shirts from falling off. Works like a charm! Cheaper than the felt hangers too!
Homemade Icepacks. This is so cool - you use plain Dawn....it doesn't freeze totally solid but like those gel packs you can buy where you contour them to your body. So neat!
A simple salt dough, a cookie cutter, a rubber stamp and a little paint. Such pretty ornaments or gift tie-ons.
embroider a trip on a map and then frame it
DIY: Sand Bowls- just sand mixed with glue and dripped over a bowl until it hardens.
Paint chips behind a frame = dry erase calendar
For the places you've lived.
Pictures instead of tags. Done this. I have just printed on regular paper, and cut with craft scissors...then big bows...so at Christmas time every one can find their presents because it has their picture on it. I choose pictures throughout the years. Good way for kids to see pictures they haven't seen in a while...
pictures instead of tags on presents. I absolutely love everything about this!
This is a great idea. Lay a world map over 3 canvas, cut into 3 pieces. Coat each canvas with Mod Podge and wrap the maps around them like presents. Let dry and hang on the wall about 2" away from each other. I also like the idea of adding pins to all the places you've been.
Hobby Lobby cardboard letters painted with metal spraypaint - so light you can hang them with 3m sticky strips!- AH! So much cheaper than the Anthropologie version!
