Kindergarten- Guided Reading

This story board will help ensure the study comprehends what they are reading by creating a story board of important things once you finish reading the book. I think this will help assess the student's comprehension because it is something simple, but still gets the point of the story across.

The First Grade Parade

Short vowels: "Shake it" short vowel sounds song. It's a great way to get those kinesthetic learners learning and moving. While students sing the song, they shake the body part that goes with the vowel. There are also pictures included for visual learners.

Small group activity...A creative idea to teach alphabets to your kids without them knowing! Ask them to feed the monster an "a" if they put in the wrong letter shake it around ad have him spit it back out then ask them to try again

Candyland with CVC words! I've seen other versions for sale, and wanted to make my own - but then I found these, and they're LOVELY. I bought a Candyland game for $1.50 at the Goodwill, and can print these for next-to-nothing. Score!
