Reader Redesign: Pop The Cork | Young House Love
Eco-Friendly Blossoms By Michelle Brand
Re-purposed wine corks contain soil and real live plants! Attached to each cork is a strong magnet that will stick to anything magnetic, most obviously a refrigerator. Because of the plant some sun is a good idea. You can experiment with how much water to provide (mist, or a few drops from a faucet), just don't over water (not more than once per week). Succulents are hardy plants that can handle neglect. As time passes your plant may start to look sad, when this happens you may want to gently remove the plant and soil and refresh with new soil and same plant; or give it a new life in the ground. Most important of all – enjoy your new little plants!
