Ok here is part 2 of the railroad tie patio, first try resulted in lifted bricks for some strange reason, so dismantled the 16x16 patio and started over and do like this outcome and pattern better! Railroad ties, bricks and pavers and of course sand! Good hint...tamp the rock 2x and tamp the sand 2x before you begin laying anything! Brush sand on finished patio, wet down lightly and brush sand again and rewet! Lots of hard work (sunburned) but so worth it!
