Half Painted Walls

small entryway. Black mirror and half table. Flower sconces on either side. I have a mirror and two candle sconces I'd like to paint and turn into vases...since I don't want to burn candles on the wall!!!

...and AFTER! To take advantage of the natural light and sloped ceiling, the walls were painted in Benjamin Moore's Silver Half Dollar paint. Windows were redressed in natural linen/cotton drapery from West Elm. Click to see the full makeover!

{♥} Een geverfde lambrisering uit de losse pols is een stuk speelser dan een ‘gewone’ rechte.

carreaux de ciment et les cadres, le bleu des murs, la table, les chaises, lampe,.... tout!

Why didn't I think of that?!?! Easy wainscotting idea: buy frames from Michael's, glue to wall and paint over entire lower half. Got this tip from a savvy home improvement person. Ha! That's stupid easy.

Mobile & Manufactured Home Living: See how they split the wall with Sheet Rock and the existing paneling! Just the width of the sheet rock so to keep down the expense a ton! And painting the bottom half, updates the home giving it a beautiful appearance! I would do this if you can Jen, it would make the floors you have Pop and not clash with the different woods! Nice update too ;)

For Master Bath - To add a little interest to the plain walls, add some 1" by 4" boards to one wall. Adds a little architecture to the room...a coastal cottage feel, no? :) Just glue and nail gun the boards on the wall (easy), then paint everything (possibly a cool white, like Dunn Edwards, Swiss Coffee) to expand, lighten, and freshen-up a small, windowless space.

DIY Wainscoting Tutorial - You are KIDDING me!! Easy wainscoting inspired idea: buy picture frames, glue to wall and paint over entire lower half.

Laundry room/half bath remodel that would be very simple to duplicate over to mine

Graca Paz: a nice vignette (love these casually wrapped/sheeted chairs)

mix wall color paint (SW Natural Choice) half and half with water. It gives you a milky consistency.. continue 2nd coat or until you get the look you want. It just takes a minute for the brick to soak up the paint to give it that white washed look. So give it time.
