Half Painted Walls
Using wood from pallets to create a barn-wood wall. (well, it looks like barn wood, but it's not. Obviously.) Would work well with some of the other ideas in here. (painting or staining certain areas of wood, wood on ceiling? Or would it be too heavy?) would look cool on a kitchen wall half way up to protect against chairs banging into painted wall

Buy an old nightstand. Paint it up (with non-toxic, VOC free paint!), cut in half, and put one half on either side of the bed. Screw into the wall, and you have two nightstands from one!

mix wall color paint (SW Natural Choice) half and half with water. It gives you a milky consistency.. continue 2nd coat or until you get the look you want. It just takes a minute for the brick to soak up the paint to give it that white washed look. So give it time.
The bunting is so fun, and only painting the lower half of the wall keeps the pink from being overwhelming
DIY Buffet: Start with a small rectangular dining table or desk. Cut the table in half lengthwise, cut the legs on one half to 12 inches tall, then paint both pieces. When dry, secure the bottom half to the wall using a wooden cleat. Stack the top piece on top; secure to the bottom section and to the wall.
