Using wood from pallets to create a barn-wood wall. (well, it looks like barn wood, but it's not. Obviously.) Would work well with some of the other ideas in here. (painting or staining certain areas of wood, wood on ceiling? Or would it be too heavy?) would look cool on a kitchen wall half way up to protect against chairs banging into painted wall
