Best Ziti I have ever made! Added a chopped onion and minced garlic to the sausage, and pepperoni for the husband. Also increased the Italian seasoning to the ricotta. Excellent for a potluck or get well/bereavement meal.
I've made this several times now and it is sooooo good. I do use the already bacon bits as it is more convenient than cooking bacon but I'm sure the cooking of bacon would add a touch more flavor. I'll be doing this for the family holiday meals because I can make it a day ahead and it is really great.
