Nice Way to Create a Small Sewing area in the corner of a Room....I think a Folding Room Divider would be a nice touch if you want to separate it in a Living Room, Bedroom, etc. so you can hide the clutter when you are working on a project. That way you son't have to put your "Stuff" away all the time when you want to the room to look nice Fast!
Sewing Machine Cover Tute. This is really cute and simple enough. I learned years ago that the plastic cover that comes with the machine normally, isn't such a great idea. Especially if you have an electronic or computerized machine. You do need a cover though as they get very dusty just sitting open, plus it makes a nice statement and tidy's up the area quickly.
buy (2) 12" pieces of coordinating fabric (girl or boy colors), 14 pieces of assorted ribbons/textures about 3or4" long, sew ribbons on RIGHT side of fabric, place other fabric on top, right sides together, sew, leaving a small area to turn right side out, then top stitch all the way around, including turning area...voila...babies LOVE woobies and texture and it's washable!
Stitching in the Ditch. Do you know how to do this great little technique? Let me show you how to sew into previously sewn seams and other areas to hold layers of fabric together without the stitching appearing on the right side of your garment. I love this DIY tank top turned tote bag project. For one, it’s hands down the easiest sewing project I’ve ever done. Two, the end product is not only cute, but useful, especially for people who live in areas where stores are now charging for bags. And finally it’s a great project for tween and teen girls not only for them to keep, but also to give as gifts or as gift bags. #thrifttown
