Really easy. Kids can make as gifts for Christmas. The tutorial calls for stiffened felt & glued embellishments, but in the pictures you can see that any thick fabric can be stitched & sparkles or buttons can be sewn on to make these. Super Cute!
Homemade heating pad - I make a "corn bag" with an inner bag made out of muslin, filled with field corn, then sewn together. Then an outer bag made out of flannel that slips over the corn bag like a pillow case. You can heat it in the microwave for 3 minutes, and the field corn holds the heat for quite a long time compared to rice or beans. Perfect for aching muscles, cramps, etc.

Easy mug snugs. Knit or Crochet a rectangle the width of a mug and long enough to wrap around a mug (make sure it is going to be tight). Embroider and felt applique. Fold in half length-wise and where the corners meet, sew just a tad on each end and you are done!
