Nutrition is the key

I have always eaten somewhat healthy until last September I had a very bad case of Pneumonia then had walking pneumonia for 4 months. I have done LOADS of research on foods and have changed my health around 100%. I have yet to get a fever, cold, anything that would cause you to feel ill. look back 50 years ago, no one heard of cancers, autism, things like that. What changed since then??? THE FOODS WERE EATING!

Lima Beans - Growing up we had Lima Beans every weekend with our dinner. Nothing goes better with a BBQ then a side of Lima Beans. And guess what.... they are HEALTHY! Fiber we all know is very important for many things, maintaing a good weight, lower your chance of hemorrhoids, and helps move yeast and fungus out of your body to reduce breakouts. 1 cup of Lima Beans has 52% of your daily needed value!

Have someone in your family who refuses to eat Broccoli? Try broccoli sprouts! John Hopkins Scientist have determined these little guys will help protect people from cancer. The sprouts contain concentrated amounts of sulforaphane. A daily dose of these sprouts can also decrease inflammation in your airways which is helpful for asthma sufferers. I bought a whole container at local health food store for $2.99

One of the most nutritious leguminous veggies. Peas are an excellent source of folic acid which we all know is great for cell health. 67% of your daily dose of vitamin C can be found in 100g of peas. Vitamin A is very important for healthy skin and mucus membranes, peas contain 25% of your daily amount. Also rich in calcium, iron, copper, zinc, and manganese.

LingZhi - I get my dose of LingZhi through a mixture that I put into my tea by an eye dropper (can find at most health food stores). In animal studies ganoderma has been shown to prevent cancer metastasis (which spreads from one organ to another). Helps the body rebuild itself and make muscle by boosting testosterone. Is a blood thinner so helps treat high blood pressure and inflammation. Can help combat the flu and other sickness' due to its antibacterial and antiviral properties.

I bought this exact bottle at my local health food store for $12.99. It will last a long time at 10-20 drops per day. This is CHLOROPHYLL! This will help fight against daily radiation, including genetic mutations that lead to cancers. A study on oral cancer shows this little gem inhibits those cancer cells. This is what is in green veggies that make us healthy. So if you dont eat enough of those through out the day this would be great for you.

I've been using this product for years...excellent product for building blood.

Greek Yogurt (This happens to be my favorite brand). I suggest getting ones with fruit in it because greek yogurt can be a little bitter tasting. But the benefits are great. It's filled with protein. 14 grams to be exact which helps maintain muscle mass. It's good for your gut which helps your immune system and digestive health. And I am lactose intolerant, I feel no stomach upsets while eating this.

If your going to drink coffee for it's health benefits then switch to decaf! Caffeine can do a lot of bad to your body in large quantities. Theres still enough caffeine in decaf to give you the benefits of caffeine which are fighting Parkinson's, and other age related brain problems. Coffee is filled with antioxidants. It also is filled with antibacterials and anti-adhesives which help your teeth combat cavities. There's also many more diseases listed coffee helps combat. Look them up!

I havent posted this one yet? wow! I owe Turmeric a lot! It helped me get rid of horrible inflammation due to double pneumonia a year ago. May prevent melanoma and cause existing melanoma to commit suicide. A natural liver detoxifier. Works just as well as many anti-inflammatory drugs in decreasing inflammation in the body. I take it in pill form. 500mg capsules.

I am in love... with Rooibos. Rooibos was proven by a University in Sweden to lower blood pressure. Japan found that Rooibos is packed with antioxidants which help combat health conditions and aging. The US department of agriculture has even affirmed red rooibos tea is capable of reducing cancer, heart disease, and aging. Rich in iron, calcium, potassium, copper, and zinc. it truly is an amazing herb. I usually drink it in the form of tea. It taste amazing with a slight hint of vanilla.

CORN! Is amazing, but do you know why? 18.4% of your daily fiber can be found in one cup of corn. Corn is packed with many different antioxidants. High in vitamin c, vitamins B3 & B5. I recommend fresh corn and cutting it off the cob yourself. Frying it in a pan with some olive oil.

Cinnamon! I put this sh*t on everything (lol). Put it in my pancake mix, on my sweet potatoes, and in my hot tea. Just a half a teaspoon will lower your bad cholesterol. It's an anti fungal. Honey and Cinnamon combines have been shown to relieve arthritis pain (I use this more my TMJ). Cinnamon amazingly fights E.Coli... one amazing little spice!

Beets!! For $0.60 a can you get a veggie with no bad fats and very low calories. Studies show beets help the body protect itself against cancer especially colon cancer. The also help protect against heart disease! Beets contain folic acid (for production of new cells), Calcium & Iron (women listen up), and are rich in Vitamins A and C. Beets have been shown to help clean your blood... eat up!

DANDELION GREENS: Had these today in my smoothie, cant even taste it! The USDA Bulletin list Dandelion Greens in the top 4 green veggies in overall nutritional value. The richest source of beta carotene in green veggies, third richest source of vitamin a out of all foods. Also rich in fiber, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, b vitamins, riboflavin, and a good source of protein. What an amazing food! Cost me $1.99 at giant, for a big bush of it, like shown in image.

HOUSE PLANTS! Nasa has done the research that concluded having two house plants per 100 square feet of space removes toxins and dramatically improves air quality in your home. Most indoor plants are very easy to care for, requiring minimum light. They help fight colds by increasing humidity levels and decreasing dust. A Peace Lilly plant may be able to reduce the harmful chemicals in the air (in your home) caused by cigarette smoke. Gerbera Daisies give off oxygen at night.... night stand?

Blueberries. I dont recommend fresh ones. They start gathering mold with-in a couple days and I have wasted so much money on buying them. BUY FROZEN, or dried! Or im currently drinking blueberry tea. Filled with Vitamin K, Vitamin C, antioxidants and Fiber these little fruits pack a huge punch. Blueberries have great cardiovascular, memory, and blood sugar benefits. Dont forget, blueberries are a great contender in the fight against cancer. Add them to your cereal, in your tea, or eat plain.

Kiwi! Tired of peeling these fury fruits? Try cutting off the very top using a spoon to hollow it out (very easy). The flavonoids in Kiwi help protect our DNA from mutations and damage. One kiwi has more vitamin c then an orange, as much potassium as a banana, and a good amount of beta-carotene. High Fiber goes hand in hand with helping lower chances of colon cancer, kiwi's are very high in fiber! These fruits are usually cheap and last awhile in the fridge.

Whole Wheat (this is the brand I buy). Whole wheat is interesting. A lot of people think cutting out wheat from there diets 100% is healthy (my mother does this). BUT this grain is FILLED with dietary fiber and manganese (helps protect your bones/maintains healthy nerves). And is a great source of Magnesium. Whole grains will also lower your chance of type 2 diabetes substantially. The betaine in whole wheat helps lessen chronic inflammation. So enjoy your grains, just make sure its whole grains

MUST MUST MUST buy peppers organic! Peppers are on the FDA's top 15 list to soak up the most pesticides! To get the most benefits out of peppers let them ripen as much as possible before consuming. If throwing these in a skillet DO NOT over cook them. The longer they cook the more nutrients they loose. Very high in Vitamin C, Vitamin A and TONS of different Vitamin B's make these all around amazing veggies. Also highly filled with antioxidants. I cook them up with Olive Oil about 4 times a week.

I LOVE Garlic, but cant fit it into everything I cook. So I take a garlic supplement (100 softgels at 1,000mg each will run you about $3 dollars.) Garlic is high into a lot of different trace minerals including selenium, tryptophan, copper, and phosphorus. Garlic is proven to reduce cholesterol levels and triglyceride. Which helps our heart out greatly. Garlic's most impressive benefit is it's ability to protect our blood cells and blood vessels from inflammation. Please look up additional info.

Of course bananas are good for you... but do you know why? One banana a day can help cut the nasty sodium you soak up from eating everything else. It comes in at a whopping 467mg of potassium. Which potassium and sodium kinda counter balance each other. Substances in bananas help activate cells that make up your stomach lining. Bananas also help your body absorb calcium better.... add it to your cereal!

Honey. It just doesn't taste good! It's proven that tiny substances in honey (can't name them all here so look it up) prevented colon cancer in animals by shutting down activity of two active enzymes. Using honey instead of sugar can lower your body weight, decrease anxiety, reduce oxidative damage, and better your memory. Honey will boost your immunity during cold or flu season. In ancient Olympic time athletes would eat tons of honey before the games to enhance there performance.
