The Worlds Oldest Recorded Music "The Lost Chord" by English composter Arthur Sullivan 1888. This was the first recording of music ever played, during a press conference in London to introduce Thomas Edison's phonograph. The gramophone records that followed were one of the dominant audio recording formats throughout much of the 20th century

Noël Coward - Mad Dogs and Englishmen. He served briefly in The Artists Rifles.

Fred Baty - "For Hannah". A very moving piece that my son wrote a few years ago following the death of a friend.

The Italian Opera House (King's Theatre), built by John Vanbrugh, at the Haymarket. It was destroyed by a fire on 17th June 1789. The first performance of Rodelinda took place here on 13th February 1725.
