Copy Editor Samantha Laros' favorite: Lentil Soup. "In my household soup is served every Sunday during the fall and winter time, and this is one of my favorites to make each year as soon as it turns cold. It says in the directions to pour out all but 1 tbsp. of the grease after cooking the bacon, but I like to slip a little more into the soup. It gives it a stronger flavor, and I figure if you're going to use bacon, you might as well go big. I also add a few chunks of feta cheese."
