Do what we do here in the King Arthur test kitchen. Get two sets of measuring spoons, disconnect them from one another, stack ’em in a glass, and stash on the counter. No more juggling entangled/connected spoons; and even if you’ve just measured vanilla, you still have a dry teaspoon for the baking powder.

Easier than shoving it in the ground and can be put on tables for parties that last until after dark
