"The question is never whether it's wanted dead or alive, whether it's hunted or not, rather how hard, badly, passionately, determinedly, furiously, freely, madly, persistently, tenderly, kindly, affectionately, sincerely, trustworthily, and lovingly one single soul in this universe wants your poetry? Isn't that the signing on the wall, the one on your soul, on your mind, on your heart, and on your veins? Isn't that right? Isn't that what you want? Well, let me tell you, that's me." f. wolff

Darwin's collection of Beetles 2 One of the first books my father read me was "On the Origin of Species" - it was countless visits to the Natural History Museum and the hours in front of displays like this that I believe contributed to my obsessive compulsive behaviour with the Align tool in illustrator!!

Nanoflowers seeded from nano-sized particles of metals that grow, or self assemble, in a natural process. Eye surgeons would implant these fractal devices within the eyes of blind patients, providing interface circuitry that would collect light captured by the retina and guide it with almost 100 percent efficiency to neurons for relay to the optic nerve to process vision.

Gunkanjima or "Battleship Island" Hashima Island floats off the coast of Nagasaki in Japan, surrounded by a concrete sea wall which gives it an armored warship appearance. The abandoned island's weathered silhouette is punctuated by crumbling concrete buildings and structures, ravaged by typhoons. Populated from 1887 to 1974 as a coal mining facility, the tiny island became the most densely populated place in the world. When coal mining operations ceased, the island was abandoned in 1974.
