This potato soup was pretty good and super easy. I made it stove top - sauteed onions in a touch of butter. Added a bit of milk to thin it out as it cooked.

Crockpot Salsa Chicken with cheese - only 3 ingredients, it's embarrassingly easy to make.

This was just okay. Not fabulous. Would have preferred the chicken shredded in soft tacos rather than just as is.

Made in August, 2014. Pretty good, not much like Grandma's but good.

1st Grade Fantabulous: Freebies - Great site for early book reports

Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta Need: 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips; 4 oz linguine, cooked al dente; 2 tsp cajun seasoning; 2 tbsp butter; 1 thinly sliced green onion; 1 -2 c. heavy whipping cream; 2 tbsp chopped sun-dried tomatoes; 1/4 tsp salt; 1/4 tsp dried basil; 1/8 tsp ground black pepper; 1/8 tsp garlic powder; 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese.

  • Kathryn H.

Made on 1/31/14. Really good. I just used a Costco Rotisserie chicken and took the breast meat out and cut it into chunks in the sauce. Then I added a can of mushroom pieces. I used 1 cup heavy cream and 1 cup whole milk. I also added a little Emeril's Essence to the sauce. Oh, and I thickened the sauce with a little flour because it seemed too thin.

We really liked this dressing. I used 2 big garlic cloves.

Mushroom Pizza Bites..the perfect way to eat pizza without the carbs.

These were very good. I used giant button mushrooms and real mozzarella cheese. John and I both liked them.

Pumpkin cookies with caramel frosting

  • Kathryn H.

These were good, but not quite as good as the other pumpkin cookie recipes I have. Probably won't make again.

Herbed Buttermilk Biscuits with Sausage Gravy

  • Kathryn H.

Biscuits were really good and pretty moist for a biscuit. Gravy was just, eh. Pretty good but nothing spectacular.

Taco stuffed shells

Very good. Everyone liked pretty much. A definite make again.

Add eggs, honey, butter and buttermilk. Stir until just mixed. Spoon batter into 12 muffin baking cups. Place third of a hot dog in each cup. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

  • Kathryn H.

Not worth it. Corn muffin mix around the dog wasn't good. Kids didn't even like it.

Revolutionary Mac & Cheese -- the pasta is cooked in the milk, which forms the base for the sauce. No water, no draining... 2 cup pasta, 2 cup milk, 1 cup cheese

  • Kathryn H.

Not great. Eh. I much prefer my own Mac and cheese recipe.

Pan-Seared Chicken with Balsamic Cream Sauce, Mushrooms and Onions

Crockpot Lemon Chicken - Put cube of butter in bottom of crock pot. Lay chicken in pot. Sprinkle Italian dressing packet over chicken, drizzle with lemon juice, pop the lid on. Cook on High 4-5 hours, or Low 6-8 hours.

  • Kathryn H.

This would have been great with rice, BUT I did low for hours and it was very dry. Should have checked it sooner. Might make again, but definitely won't cook as long. Keep an eye on this one.

  • Kathryn H.

I meant that I did it on low for 6 hours.

  • Kathryn H.

Or use more chicken than I did.

Mom’s Best Recipe – Chicken Gloria

  • Kathryn H.

I thought this recipe would be awesome. It looks awesome. When I got to the point in the recipe where you add a can of cream of mushroom soup, I almost didn't do it. But then I figured, without it, I would have to make it into an alfredo sauce and it would totally change the recipe. I should have listened to my inner voice. This was okay, but not that great. I won't be making it again. Instead, I think I will just add fresh mushrooms to my own chicken alfredo recipe. The end.

Grandma's Country White Bread. Costs pennies, uses simple ingredients, and tastes AMAZING! If you are looking for a sure-fire, crowd-pleasing, delicious white bread, look no further.

  • Kathryn H.

This bread was awesome on this cold winter day! Would definitely make again!

Sun Dried Tomato Chicken - this dish blew my mind!

  • Kathryn H.

Really good. Sort of a lighter cream sauce. The sun dried tomatoes made it taste like summer. Will make again.

! Dump 1 envelope of taco seasoning, 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts & a jar of salsa in the crockpot, stir and cook on high(4-6 hrs.) or low(6-8 hrs.) Should be able to shred with a fork. Place meat mixture in tortillas and top with your favorite toppings!

These were very good. I didn't thin the Carmel out as much as it said to or it would have been too thin. Very pretty presentation.
