1902 photo of Florence Evelyn Nesbit, 1882-1967. Very successful American artists' model & chorus girl, noted for her entanglement in the murder of her ex-lover, architect Stanford White, by her first husband, Harry Kendall Thaw. Ms Nesbit had one child, Russell William Thaw, who was born in Berlin in 1910. He died in 1984 CA. Evelyn authored 2 books, The Story Of My Life (1914) & Prodigal Days (1934). She died in a nursing home in CA at the age of 82.

On May 15, 1869, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton formed the National Woman Suffrage Association, decades later this delegation of women had a meeting with President Wilson.

After parcel post service was introduced in 1913, at least two children were sent by the service. With stamps attached to their clothing, the children rode with railway and city carriers to their destination. The Postmaster General quickly issued a regulation forbidding the sending of children in the mail after hearing of those examples.
