Valentines with Gelli !!
Valentines made using a Gelli printing plate or printed papers and great ideas or tutorials for artsy valentines!
I also think that the Gelli-stamp idea is a good one to be able to print on a larger sheet. I can see using the plate as a stamp on a LARGE sheet of paper, but not overlapping and printing random (square or rectangular) areas, but doing more intentional printing. I do know I’ll do it again. Might even try the larger plate just to see what happens. ©Mary Anne Walters
I started by creating background on gelliplate using a clarity stencil which was an NDC stencil. This time i used adirondak inks and stencil brushes on plate. I think I used wild plum and raisin. The first layer is all done in wild plum. Then I added some extra bits that came with stencil and using raisin brushed all over again thus creating light and dark areas as you can see from picture.
Well, since Valintines Day is this week, I thought I would make a page in my journal with hearts on it. I got a Gelli Arts plate this week and spent all day palying with it yesterday. I took Julie Fei-Fan Balzer's online class to learn how to use it.

I used Texture Fades to create a gelatin print on the background of the tag. I love the pop of color against the aqua. I hope to show you another way to use these beautiful fades.

My cards started as Artist Trading Card sized (2.5" x 3.5") original monoprints made on my Gelli Plate. I added red and pink cardstock mats behind and stitched them together. The heart is crumbled red cardstock inked to add some dimension. Don't you love the tiny staples?! Everything but the straight lines on the mats behind the monoprint are all hand cut by me. The words are all hand stamped.
