Thinking about trying to make something like this for a wall in the kitchen that has no cabinets on it. I want to be able to display a few things, but hide things at the same time. Old book case with wither shutters for doors to hide items or old windows and use a frosted window treatment for the areas where I don't want people to see things. NF

take an old (or new $15 from WalMart) bookshelf, put wainscoating on the back, and add a piece of molding...paint it the color you prefer and you have a new, updated bookshelf.
