I could use this as a science project; I could use this as a word tree and have them add adjectives, verbs, nouns, adverbs, etc. that reflect autumn vocabulary. This is so easy. Cut out any scary shapes on black cardboard, tape to window panes, cover with white tissue paper and light from behind. It's a great effect.
Stretch a rubber band around a cylindrical vase, then stick in candy canes until you cant see the vase. Tie a silky red ribbon to hide the rubber band. Fill with red and white roses or carnations... or cake pops? Or more candy? Or home-made cookies...? THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!
